I loved this song and found the great Dick Dale doing a version of this surf guitar classic with a classic guitar hero, Stevie Ray.
Pity from the Irish. This is So Sad. Our country was an envy of the world and now it’s an object of pity.
This song is a must! It’s a great voice singing a great song. This rare live video of a young Gene Pitney performance is quite a find, and worth watching to hear this song.
Why am I being lied to? It seems Nature hasn’t lied, but I’m not so sure about Mankind. After watching the recent Michael Moore film , I’m convinced “climate change” is a re-branding to say “over-population” is the real problem. My question is why lie? Is Mankind’s doing the damage in itself? Is GREED the common denoninator?
I selected another lyrics video, this time I didn’t select the version we all know by The Eagles. This song is so well written, and I think it hasn’t received the attention it deserves. This is a great cover, “note for note” with the lyrics.
The air pollution situation is a critical. Why call gasoline “a molecule of U.S. freedom.” How dumb there is no need to give the fossil fuel industry any props, with the views coming into sight. This is no time to rename this proven health harm. This is an unnecessary, maybe use this time correctly and see the opportunity of other energy sources.
i chose another the lyric’s video of a song that represents my thinking about the false face being put on our pressing problems.
The 50th anniversaryof EARTH DAY 2020 is where we find ourselves, and I found out something i didn’t want to. I’d hate to lose Florida to global warming. I spent some fun time in Miami. It’s such a shame there is short-sighted thinking about this crisis. We’re doomed! if we let the next 50 years slip away.
This was our Easter Break Frat Rock Anthem plus seeing Wayne at the Barn made this song real. I’d hate to lose Miami.
I’m not sure the 70s concept of energy independence has benefitted our country. The carbon dioxide molecule is invisible. Just like the pandemic virus, it’s deadly. I think with the supply/demand issue over gas and oil, subsidies are one thing to change if we are to keep the planet healthy.
I chose another lyrics video. This song about Gasoline is more suggestive, than I originally thought, once it was posted, translated and commented upon.
It’s time to save the planet!! Is there a reason we support an air pollutant industry 10x times more than we support education? We see the progress that Mankind has made in air quality recently with Nature shutting down the demand for oil.
I think it’s time to question the need to support oil and gas. This is the best version I could find Mason’s “get up” is so 60’s.
I was watching a recent demonstration in Michigan on TV and I saw a sign – “Live Free or Die” – and I realized so what if I cause a few deaths if I don’t die myself so I condensed that thought in my title. I also noticed these same demonstrators were packing. So killing isn’t a big leap. I think my re-name might be closer to reality.
I produced this song with the help of my friends Robbie, Larry, James, and Ed (of course.) Upon re-listening, it was a glimpse into the future.
Has it been 50 years? We need to appreciate the recent virus has done more in a few months then the 50 years of the earth day movement? Is it the immediate fear of death, that allowed air quality to improve. On Earth Day we must educate ourselves on ways to keep the progress we made on air pollution.
The Figurines, from Denmark, had it right about the air. Let’s face it w/o air to breathe we’re f**ked royally.
